This is my attempt at re-capturing the magic vibe of those 90s websites.
It has been almost 5 years since my last post. We are now definitely in the AI era. This is the first real HTML I have written in months, maybe years. I don't code anymore. Claude does everyting for me. I just asked it to make my SteamOS look like Windows 98 and it just did and it's swell.
I saw a video on YouTube in which they researched the average amount of words we utter every year. Apparently, we have been on a downward trend in the last 20 years. The amount of words uttered has dropped by roughly 28% between 2005 and 2019, from about 16,000 to 12,000. Around 338 words per day.
I already don't say much, I feel like. For most of my life my computer has been one of my best friends. My safe spot. But it also can feel like such a waste of time. Maybe it's because I'm jealous of all the people having fun out there, talking, connecting, while I am rotting away in cyberspace. I sometimes wonder what kind of person I would have been like in the pre-computer era. Would I have been more outgoing and social? Or would I have been a focused scientist and avid book reader?
The pandemic is still ongoing, but Omicron seems to go easy on us. The number of infections s breaking records, but the IC admission have been going down at the same time. Since today the bars and restaurants are open again. Me thinks me will make us of that in the coming weekend...
"Business in the front, party in the back."
To relive that vibe myself, and partly due to the current pandemic, I have decided to start sporting a mullet. Completely according to the DIY principles I have cut it myself.
I also have a cat. Her name is Ruby, but she only listens to the name Rubada. Weird, eh?
